Great capture..... too bad there is'nt something more in the reflection
if you under expose it slightly more the clouds will have more contrast.... if you have photoshop play with it in there

i tried to get a shot like this one, but it never quite came out clear enough for me to like it..

Perfect symmetry. I like the faintness of the reflection. Bravo to a job well done!

Very nice shot. A lot if the things i like about it people have already mentioned like the symetry and contrast. So i won't say it all again.

But you asked for constructive criticism so here it comes.

It yould have been nice to try and get a more interesting cloudscape reflecting in there. Perhaps a sunset version of the shot? One with some cool looking clouds relfecting the oranges and pinks of the sky. Dawn would work equally well.

You also seem ot have a bit of problems in the pic with noise. I dunno how well you know your equipment or what you're using, but there are a few places this can come from. If you have a film camera or a digital with ISO setings, you may be using to high of an ISO value. For a nice still, well lit shot like this, usually all a high iso film or setting accomplishes is to get you unnecessary noise. It could be the digital camera itself and if this is the case then there's not much you can do but buy a new camera. Finally it can be the scanner. Most scanners let you play aorund with the settings and some specifically come with software to compensate for the blotchiness of the scans they produce. Perhaps help is to be found in the manual?

hope this helps.

Beautiful composition. I love the reflection and framing. Great capture. :) (Smile)

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
